Information
The Japanese economy revived in 2015 as the Nikkei broke through the 20,000-point barrier for the first time in 15 years. The three Japan Post companies went public with their IPOs.
But the global economy was shaken by the Greek financial crisis and the worldwide plunge in stocks spurred by turbulence in the Chinese stock market.
Now, with the new opportunities as well as risks globalization is bringing, Japanese financial markets are being forced to change. Focusing on a major Japanese investment bank, we look at the strategies adopted by this company to win in the rapidly changing financial markets.
Conducting interviews and research over half a year, we found out what’s happening at the company’s bases in Japan, New York, London and elsewhere around the world. By taking a close look at the frontlines of change this company is facing, this program considers some of the hard questions facing Japanese finance right now.
