Now, in biodiversity initiatives in Japan, it is the clever collaborative management of the knowhow held by the region’s people, companies, governing bodies, and research institutions that continues to hold the key to achieving breakthroughs.
Established in 2009, the Japan Awards for Biodiversity honors organizations and individuals in Japan that have made exceptional contributions to preserving biodiversity and sustainable utilization of environmental resources.

The program documents this year’s five awardees, their activities and the award ceremony held at the United Nations.
The program explores Japan’s environmental efforts and the future of biodiversity.
