Information

The Second International Mekong Bridge, a 2050 meter bridge connecting Laos and Thailand, was completed in 2006 with support from Japanese international aid.
Economic activity has remarkably progressed since its opening, making it an integral bridge that expands the link between Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar through the East-West Economic Corridor.

As logistics speed has become a vital factor in economic development in Asia, the bridge has been garnering attention for its benefits of shifting sea transportation into land shipping.

The program documents Japan's initiative towards connecting two countries and its economic impact within Asia.
